Unicycling - "Carl balancing on one point"

Carl Vigilante received his associates degree in nursing from Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, OR in 1996. While working as an RN, he saw the value of caring touch and became an Oregon licensed massage therapist in 1999.  In 2009, after graduating from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL, he became an Illinois licensed massage therapist. He has studied Thai Massage with Pati Starzynski since 2006. Carl is nationally certified through NCBTMB and is a member of ABMP.

Carl did not immediately embrace yoga when he took his first class in 1992. On the first day he injured himself, and for several years experienced  back and hip injuries due to his competitive attitude. Because of this, he discontinued yoga until  2003 when he started taking yoga classes with Pati.  Through her guidance, he began to understand that yoga is not a competitive sport, but rather a personal development and internal awareness practice. Carl gained so much benefit from yoga that he decided to become a certified yoga teacher through the Himalayan Yoga and Meditation Center in Palatine, IL.

Carl is also a certified natural vision coach. In 2016 he received his training and certification from Greg Marsh, in Fort Collins, CO. Carl takes a holistic and integrative approach to natural vision improvement. In his coaching practice, he incorporates the Bates method of natural vision improvement with other holistic practices including gentle yoga, meditation and mindfulness, breath awareness, relaxation techniques, imagery and emotional freedom technique. His goal is to help clients learn and experience for themselves what it feels like to use the eyes, mind and body the way nature intended, with ease and comfort.

Pati and Carl live in Jupiter, Florida where they offer on-site holistic bodywork, classes and coaching.
